The .NET Framework Library Source Code has been released.

Scott just posted that the .NET Framework Source has just been released with instructions on how to get a hold of it and put it on your development computer.

As I mentioned when Visual Studio 2008 released, having this code available will allow us to step into the source with the debugger so that we can see that the assumptions we are making about the Microsoft code are true or not.

It will also allow us to take a look at (hopefully) good code.  Again, just because it is from Microsoft doesn’t mean it’s great code.  There’s just a much higher likelihood that it is.
